Organisations with innovative projects that will contribute to economic growth and support jobs are invited to apply to the South West Development Commission for funding.
In this round eligible applicants can apply for South West RED Grants funding of up to $200,000 for individual projects.
The objectives of the RED Grants Program include:
- sustainable jobs;
- expanding or diversifying industry;
- developing skills or capabilities;
- attracting new investment in the region;
- maximising recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic impacts.
This is made available through the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) Grantsprogram, which is being delivered in the South West by SWDC with the assistance of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
Through the program, the State Government is investing $28.8 million over five years in projects driven by local organisations that will create real economic benefit and employment opportunities in regional WA.
Grants are available for projects that help sustain jobs, expand or diversify industry, develop skills or capabilities, attract new investment, and maximise economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
South West regional priorities include investing in innovation or value-adding in key industries, maximising international and interstate markets or exports, and supporting Aboriginal small business development.
