SSOs strive for success for all students through improving the wellbeing, resilience and pro-social behaviour of students buy working in partnership with the Student Services team. The role requires strong monitoring and management of triage practices and processes. Under the leadership of the Student Services Manager, SSOs will implement clear processes of support. Exceptional relationship building skills, knowledge, and proven ability to deliver outcome driver interventions will promote high level successes for students and contribute to the functional operation of Student Services.

Suitable applicants will participate in Students at Education Risk (SAER) and case conference meetings within the school and with other agencies as appropriate, including the provision of information and consultancy advice. Suitable applicants will have the oppurtunity to work in partnership with key service providers to coordinate and deliver activities that aim to support and engage SAER.  They should have the ability to facilitate restorative meetings to allow students to resolve conflict in a proactive manner and follow up to ensure the agreed outcomes continue beyond these meetings.
