Tom Reardon arrived in Collie with his wife Katherine to take up permanent residency in December 2016.

Tom spent his life in the Education field where he was principal of a Catholic Primary School, a Religious Education consultant for Brisbane Catholic Education and a lecturer in theology at the Institute of Faith which became part of the structure of the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane.

Since arriving in Collie, Tom was appointed coordinator of the Coalfields Museum and Historical Research Centre and is currently serving as secretary of the Association.

Tom joined the executive of the Collie Chamber of Commerce in 2020 and was recently appointed to the committee of the Collie Visitor’s Centre.

Tom has a keen interest in the early history of Collie and is keen to develop the historical aspect of Collie as a tourist attraction as part of the Just Transition Program.
