Tom Reardon arrived in Collie with his wife Katherine to take up permanent residency in December 2016.

Tom spent his life in the Education field where he was principal of a Catholic Primary School, a Religious Education consultant for Brisbane Catholic Education and a lecturer in theology at the Institute of Faith which became part of the structure of the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane.

Since arriving in Collie, Tom was appointed coordinator of the Coalfields Museum and Historical Research Centre and is currently serving as secretary of the Association.

Tom joined the executive of the Collie Chamber of Commerce in 2020. He served as a member of the Collie Visitor Centre Committee for three years and relinquished his role as secretary due to other commitments.

Tom has a keen interest in the early history of Collie and is committed to developing the historical aspect of the town as a tourist attraction as part of the Just Transition Program.
