Vanessa joined Synergy at Muja Power Station in 2018, working in community and stakeholder engagement.

Originally hailing from New Zealand, she started her career there as a journalist. Upon moving to Australia in 2005, she worked in the corporate communications field on a number of oil and gas mega-projects in the state’s northwest.

Vanessa is passionate about the Collie community and through her role at Synergy is actively involved in the town’s transition activities. She is keen to see the entire community supported through the transition away from emissions-intensive industries and for Collie to continue to grow, flourish and diversify.

Vanessa joined the Collie Chamber of Commerce executive in 2022.
