Kym is the Founder and Managing Director of Adventure Connections, a profit for purpose, Adventure Tourism business which empowers healthy lives in the outdoors, one adventure at a time.

Inspired by family camping trips to Wellington National Park and the development of trails in the region, Kym relocated to Collie in 2021. This move led Adventure Connections to diversify into tourism, becoming successful Collie Futures Small Grant recipients. With this support, the business launched guided e-bike tours, fostering more adventures in the Collie River Valley Region.

With over 20 years of experience in Sport, Recreation, and Education, Kym’s adaptability and innovation have spearheaded various community and tourism initiatives in Collie such as Adventurous Minds – a Youth Adventure program, various holiday programs, training, and capacity building opportunities such as Trail Maintenance, Mountain Bike Coaching, and is now an internationally, qualified Mountain Bike Instructor. Kym’s desire and commitment to collaborate and partner with other organisations has helped to facilitate programs for Perth school camps and unique events such as the Lost and Found Festival.

Kym’s dedication extends to participating in various board roles over the last few years which have included Outdoors WA, The Australian Association of Bush Adventure Therapy (AABAT), The Collie Visitor Centre, and recently, the Collie Chamber of Commerce. A mother of two, she’s committed to nurturing a love for adventures in nature, in Collie and the conservation of our trails and natural assets, for future generations, eager to share nature’s playground with more visitors.
