Collie CCI Celebrates Latest Business Connections Event: A Platform for Growth and Collaboration
The Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Collie CCI) is thrilled to announce an exciting addition to our Business Connections series, made possible through funding from Workforce Australia Local Jobs South West in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. This initiative aims to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration among local businesses and residents.
During the recent event, an intimate group of business owners engaged in thoughtful discussions on current challenges while enjoying a VIP tour of Everything Under the Sun. Attendees also benefited from presentations on the Net Zero Mapping project and the range of services provided by the Collie Jobs and Skills Centre.
Natalie Cook, in both her capacity as Collie CCI Chair and Manager of the Jobs and Skills Centre expressed her enthusiasm: “The somewhat less well-known services of the Jobs and Skills Centre are the supports we can provide for employers, including in the areas recruitment and workforce development. It was a privilege to be able to share the work that the JSC can do in that capacity, and raise awareness so we can help build on the resilient strengths of the businesses in Collie.”
Australian Government Regional Workforce Transition Officer, Tanya Scudamore said "The Business Connection events are proving to be highly popular, and I am very pleased to be able to support this event in partnership with the Workforce Australia Employment Facilitator Kate Monaghan and Support Officer Gemma Longford.”
