Job Title: Disability Support Worker (Casual)
Location: Bunbury, Collie, and Bridgetown areas
Position: Casual (Regular Weekly Shifts)
We are seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers (both male and female applicants) to join our team and provide high-quality support to participants in the Bunbury, Collie, and Bridgetown regions. If you have a passion for making a difference and at least 1 year of experience in the disability sector, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to participants with diverse needs in their homes and community settings.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, medication management, and mobility support.
- Help participants with achieving their goals, encouraging independence, and promoting overall wellbeing.
- Assist with transport to and from appointments or social outings, as required.
- Engage participants in meaningful social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of participant progress and service delivery.
Required Qualifications & Documents:
- NDIS Orientation Module
- First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
- Police Check
- Working with Children Check (not required for William, but please provide if available)
- COVID-19 Immunisation Record
- CPR Certificate
Relevant Qualifications (if applicable):
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Work
- Diploma in Disability Studies
- Certificate III or IV in Ageing Support
- Diploma in Aged Care Services
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support
Additional Documents (if applicable):
- Driver’s Licence (C class or higher)
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Hoist Training
- Food Handling
- Manual Handling
- Medication Handling
- Mandatory Reporter Training (Department of Communities)
- Any other relevant online training
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in disability support.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting the dignity and independence of participants.
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of participants.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (transport between locations is required).
