Condition Monitoring Technician

The Condition Monitoring Technician will carry out routine monitoring and analysis tasks effectively and accurately on critical rotating machinery in line with the company’s vision and values, in order to increase the availability, reliability and life of the plant.
As the Condition Monitoring Technician, you will:
- Manage, implement and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs including on-site data collection, analysis and recommendations for rotating equipment.
- Monitor, perform and improve the oil and grease maintenance routines across the site to maximise plant life and availability.
- Assist with developing Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies and Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA’s).
- Identify opportunities to improve plant availability, reliability and performance and assist with root cause analysis to determine the cause of equipment failure.
- Liaise with operations and Engineering department to identify and assist with resolving plant faults to maximise unit availability.
- Provide feedback on maintenance activities and plant condition to the Operations and Maintenance department.
- Ensure all routines and plant checks are completed with appropriate documentation filed and recorded each day.
Attributes:
- Hands-on experience of implementing predictive maintenance strategies, including vibration, lubrication analysis, thermography and other industry standard condition monitoring practices.
- Fully certified ISO VCAT1 as a minimum
- Proficient in the latest data analytics tools and techniques, good working knowledge of a wide range of rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently and accurately
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently, whilst establishing positive relationships across the business
Desirable:
- TCAT / LCAT certification highly regarded.
- Recent experience in the power generation or heavy industry is highly desirable.
- Experience and knowledge of CMMS system, SAP experience highly regarded.
