The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Deputy Principal to work closely with the Principal and leadership team to promote and uphold the school’s vision, mission, and values within the school community. As an instructional leader and coach, the Deputy Principal will lead the implementation of high-quality curriculum across all phases of learning, supporting the execution of school-wide programs and pedagogy.
The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver an effective curriculum and contribute to the development of a strong middle leadership team, ensuring continuity and consistency across the school. A strong understanding of current whole-school programs (UFLI, Word Origins,T4W and Oxford Math), including an outstanding knowledge of Teaching for Impact, is highly desirable.
The role also involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and management, while considering financial and legislative requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
Applicants should have proven leadership and management experience, including expertise in Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), a knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Program (PBS), instructional leadership, mentoring and coaching. The ability to lead change, improve teacher practices, and coordinate support services for students is essential. A flexible, resilient approach and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key to success in this role.
