ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on 4-day, 10-hour weekly or 9-day fortnight roster. Based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, it’s a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Engineer Electrical you will be responsible for providing electrical and instrumentation expertise, supporting operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation at Worsley Alumina.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Providing consultative support for electrical modifications and projects.
- Developing asset management plans for critical electrical & instrumentation equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with HSEC, quality, cost, and safety standards.
- Assisting with the development of maintenance strategies for new equipment.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Proven expertise in electrical engineering with a focus on high voltage systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- A genuine interest in and enjoyment of power system modelling (including load studies, protection grading and arc flash analysis).
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams for successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on clear, supportive guidance and teamwork.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
