Farm Manager

Farm ManagerLooking for an entrepreneurial natured farm manager with 3+ years of farming experience leading day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planting, cultivating, harvesting, irrigation, pest management, crop management and more
• Hire, train and manage farm staff including season workers and contractors
• Ensure that the farm runs profitability and maximizes profits with a long-term mindset
• Track crop yields and identify efficiencies
• Oversee compliance including organic certification
• Maintain accurate records for crops, inputs and operational performance
• Develop and implement farm schedules, logistics and workflow planning
• Community engagement and marketing
• Assist in newsletters, social media updates and community announcements

Job Requirements

• BS in Horticulture, Ag, Sustainable Systems or related field
• 3 years of experience in farming or operations role
• Entrepreneurial
• Can wear many hats to get the job done
• A positive, collaborative and solutions-oriented attitude
• A passion for organic, sustainable farming
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
