LEADING HAND – FABRICATION

We are expanding our fabrication team and this is your chance to get in on ground floor as a working leading hand. The successful applicant will be running a team of 6 BM/welders (inc 2 apprentices)

Our expectations of you:-
Co-ordinating your team to achieve timely execution of planned works
Working with operational managers to achieve production deadlines and budgets
Impart technical knowledge and guidance to your team
Ensure fabrication quality of high standard
Undertake workshop duties associated with fabrication as required
Work as a part of your team as tradesperson
Act as a role model for best practice safety and execution behavior
Lead an experienced and quality team with a positive and proactive approach

What do you need:-
Experience in a wide variety of fabrication machinery operation
3 years experience in a similar position
Experience with welding aluminium, sheet metal and stainless steel
MIG/TIG welding experience
Be able to read and understand technical drawings
Ability to communicate effectively with your team and management
HR/Forklift/crane desirable
