About the role
The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.  Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.  In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant Qualification and Experience
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality training delivery and assessment in the High Risk skills delivery area; encompassing varying streams from Certificate III level and above. This means to prepare, present and develop training, undertake assessment and reporting, and provide advice to clients across the High Risk and related skill areas, as well as assisting in the general administration of programs and Quality compliance. Ability to network and consult with clients, community groups and other stakeholders is also an essential component of the position.

The successful applicant needs to have current industry experience and all qualifications in High Risk operations within the resources and/or construction industries. An essential requirement is to be an accredited WorkSafe Assessor in some or all of the following: EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, Basic scaffolding, CV – Crane, CN – Non Slewing.
