Light Vehicle Manager
Collie AutoTech is seeking a dedicated Light Vehicle Manager to work hands-on in the maintenance and servicing of our diverse fleet of light vehicles. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled automotive technicians, ensuring efficient operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Based in Collie, WA, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing automotive business.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and direct the work of automotive technicians, ensuring all maintenance and repairs are completed to the highest standards
- Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to optimise productivity and customer satisfaction
- Liaise with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored solutions
- Manage inventory, parts ordering, and stock control to maintain an efficient parts supply
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Provide hands-on technical support and expertise
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and provide coaching and mentorship to technicians
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Light Vehicle lead mechanic or similar role in the automotive industry
- Extensive knowledge of light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and software
- Relevant trade qualifications and certificates in the automotive field (Air Conditioning)
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance
