The Role

  • Permanent full-time
  • DIDO from Perth on 2:1 (accommodation provided), or South West local on 5:2
  • All inclusive hourly rate

Cardinal Contractors are offering a full-time position for a Multi Combination Float Operator experienced in 50 and 100 tonne floats to work in the Bunbury and Collie regions and with regular trips to our operations at Telfer in the Pilbara.

The Job

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with 100T and 50T floats
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Transport goods and materials including over size and over mass loads
  • Loading and unloading machinery
  • Inspecting truck and float for mechanical items and safety issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Maintain internal and external truck cleanliness
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in line with MRD’s permits
  • Complete all Cardinal Contractors paperwork and all other necessary paperwork to comply with any relevant regulation or statutory requirement
  • Complete activity logs and records in line with Department of Transport regulations
  • Comply with laws on commercial vehicle operation as per Federal, State and local authorities
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and practical application of Workplace OH&S
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical as well as drug and alcohol screen
  • Must have current National Police Clearance
  • Hold a valid white card or equivalent
