The Role

SRG Global Integrated Services is seeking Scaffolders for long term and ongoing full-time opportunities in the Southwest of WA. The positions will be based out of SRG Global’s Southwest WA operational base in Bunbury, and work across a number of local sites.

This is an opportunity for motivated, goal-driven, and enthusiastic scaffolders to join our Southwest team in a full-time position, working across a number of local sites. All successful applicants would reside locally in the Southwest or surroundings as the job is drive-in, drive-out daily (these are not fly-in-fly-out ‘FIFO’ positions).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Erection, dismantling and modifications of scaffolding as required in accordance with Australian Standards;
  • Routinely checking scaffolds;
  • Update and maintain “scafftag” system and inspection of all scaffolds as required;
  • Fit together steel tubes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds;
  • Lift and position sections of scaffolding and bolt tubes together to build up scaffolding;
  • Place planks over horizontal bars to create platforms;
  • Check levels in scaffolding structures;
  • Use prefabricated scaffolding when available;
  • Dismantle scaffolding at the completion of a job;
  • Undertake tasks as directed by the Supervisor;
  • Liaise with site Supervisor, as required, throughout the day to review workload for the following day;
  • Maintenance of equipment as required;
  • Ongoing review of all systems and operations to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to all Client and SRG Global Management, Systems and Legislative Requirements;
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation;
  • At all times use and maintain personal protective clothing and equipment (PPE) relevant to your role and task being undertaken;
  • Perform all other general duties as directed by the site supervisor, within your level of competence.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • High Risk License
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Confined Spaces Entry card\
  • Working Safely at Heights and Confined Space (within 2 years)
  • Construction induction card (White or Blue card)
  • Ability to pass site medical testing requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
  • At least 2 years of Scaffolder work experience
