ABOUT THE ROLE

We have several Permanent roles available on a Day Shift/Night Shift Continuous roster. You’ll be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Instrumentation Technicians to execute maintenance and refurbishment of cutting-edge equipment, ensuring smooth and safe operations. With a focus on safety and collaboration, you’ll troubleshoot and optimise processes in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Ensure compliance with the SAP process for work execution, accurately capturing all related transactional data in the system.
  • Execute maintenance tasks according to schedule and relevant work instructions, maintaining a high level of quality in all work performed.
  • Provide input for root cause analysis and resolution of equipment reliability issues, and initiate updates to work procedures to keep them accurate and relevant. Additionally, ensure thorough scoping of corrective work to facilitate effective planning, process unused or reparable materials accurately, and participate in timely reporting of events and hazards. Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as needed.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, with a preference for experience in large-scale refinery operations that demonstrates your capability in a dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintaining industrial processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in operations.
  • Proficient in handling various types of instrumentation, including control valves, positioners, variable speed drives, PLC and DCS systems, as well as high-voltage assets.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • WA ‘A’ electrical license
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation
