The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking an experienced training professional to join our site safety team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Safety & Training Manager, the Training Co-ordinator will be responsible for all training, assessment and development aspects of the open-cut mining operation. The training process and delivery will meet operational needs and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and site policy.
In this role you will:
- Conduct and administer inductions and training courses including e-learning.
- Plan and schedule training courses to meet operational needs.
- Design, develop and prepare site training plans, courses and materials.
- Complete training, monitoring, auditing, administration and reporting.
- Co-ordinate on-site and off-site training.
- Administer learning and development requests for workers undertaking Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
- Maintain up to date records.
THE PERSON
The preferred candidate will have:
- At least 5 years’ training experience in heavy industry, mining or environment;
- Certificate IV Trainer Assessor;
- Cert IV in Leadership and Management (desired);
- Valid WA “C” class driver’s licence; and
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE
Griffin Coal – Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. As this is a residential role, no relocation package is being offered.
