Collie Art Group
The Collie Art Group operates out of the Old Collie Police Station with groups meeting to create patchwork, quilting, pottery, knitting, crochet work and drawing. Members welcome.
The police station opened in 1921 replacing a previous wooden structure. It closed as a Police station in 1972 when the now Police station in Wittenoom street was built.
The Collie Art Group now operates out of this building and we participate in a variety of crafts including quilting, embroidery, sewing and pottery. We are open weekdays in the morning and are planning to open on some weekends. Our shop is open for sales on these days.
The Collie Art Group is located in the Old Police Station at 67 Throssel Street, Collie. It currently has about forty members who meet to do quilting and pottery. We are happy to show people around the old building and also have a small shop of handmade gifts. New members are welcome to come and bring other crafts.
