Tara van Beuningen

Chamber Executive Officer

Tara joined the Collie Chamber five years ago and progressed into the Executive Officer role in 2021.

Previously the administration manager for the BGEA, Tara brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Chamber and its customers.

Tara isn’t new to the small business world. She and her family owned and operated a small business locally. “I understand the challenges and rewards of owning a small business,” she said.

She is passionate about supporting small businesses in the town and loves her role at the Chamber she agrees with the Chamber’s motto “Working with and for you”.

Tara is married, with two children and has lived locally for 22 years. She loves living in Collie and is excited about seeing the town transition into a beautiful tourist destination where there’s something for everyone.

Downtime for Tara involves volunteering in multiple organisations, as well as the schools her children attend. Gymnastic coach is another one of Tara’s talents and she’s been helping kids at the Collie PCYC for the past four years.

Exploring the Collie surrounds by camping and photography is a favourite pastime and she enjoys spending time with her family, especially planning their birthday parties. Christmas is Tara’s favourite time of the year and she’s been instrumental in making the Chamber’s annual Christmas Competition a huge success.
