Natalie Cook

Collie Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc

Chairperson

Natalie was born in Collie and has lived in the town for most of her life. She is married to Harley, and has two adult children, Lauren and Will.

Natalie trained as a primary school teacher and held a variety of roles within the department, including as a principal, where she gathered experience in Human Resources, governance, and administrative structures of organisations.  In the early 2000s she dipped her toe in small business for the first time when she partnered with her husband to run a timber milling business, specialising in recovering paddock-fallen timber for use in bespoke furniture construction.

After 27 years in Education, Natalie has become the first Manager of the Jobs and Skills Centre Collie. She is supporting the people of Collie, both in the community, and those affected by the transition away from coal fired power, to find fulfilling careers and continued employment in the town.

Natalie became Chamber Management Committee member in 2022, having first joined through her current business venture, Your Way Celebrant Services in 2018.  She is also a member of the Collie Senior High School Board, where she likes to continue to contribute to education and training.

Natalie is keen to see Collie grow, prosper and thrive through its transition to new and emerging industries, all while celebrating the history and value of existing industries who made it possible for Collie to be what it is today.
