CCCI The Collie Providore Business Connections
The Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), proudly supported by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, recently hosted the latest Business Connections event at The Collie Providore, celebrating community, innovation, and connection.
The evening marked the official launch of the Providore’s brand-new courtyard space, designed to become a versatile venue for future community and business events. Guests were invited to explore the stylish new area while sampling Collie Providore’s gourmet offerings, including artisan cheeses, cured meats, condiments, coffee, and teas. Visitors also discovered the Providore’s popular gift boxes, picnic packs, pre-order hampers, and cheese tastings, highlighting the business’s role in promoting local flavours and unique customer experiences.
Event Highlights
Attendees enjoyed a guided walkthrough of the new courtyard, showcasing its flexibility as a family-friendly and business-friendly space. The launch emphasised how small businesses in Collie are continuing to innovate, invest in infrastructure, and create opportunities for community connection.
A special highlight of the evening was the keynote presentation from MATES in Mining, a national mental health and suicide prevention program dedicated to supporting workers across Australia’s mining, energy, and construction industries.
The MATES team spoke powerfully about the importance of recognising mental health as a shared responsibility. Their presentation helped attendees understand why mental wellbeing is a critical issue for business owners and employees in regional WA. Guests also learned how to identify signs that someone may be struggling and how to provide meaningful support, as well as how to access tools, training, and 24/7 services to create safer, stronger workplaces and communities.
