CCCI The Club Hotel Business Connections
The Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), proudly supported by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, is excited to announce the next Business Connections event at The Club Hotel.
This special gathering is designed to explore the challenges and opportunities of running a business in regional WA, highlighting collaboration, innovation, and community-driven growth. Attendees will gain practical insights into navigating staffing hurdles, evolving industries, and building workplaces where safety, culture, and connection are priorities.
Event Highlights
Attendees heard from Sam and Debbie, from The Club Hotel, who shared their journey transforming the venue into a vibrant and inclusive community hub. The event provided strategies for recruitment, retention, and cultivating a positive workplace culture, along with ideas for creating customer experiences that drive loyalty and strengthen community ties. Discussions also covered new initiatives designed to boost local business visibility, foster community engagement, and reinforce the importance of a clear, actionable vision. The team emphasised including frontline staff in decision-making and highlighted technology integration, such as the hotel’s online booking system.
Sam and Debbie also stressed the importance of collaboration across Collie’s business community, including shared staffing, community sponsorships, and local event promotion, such as the upcoming “Mega Wheel” initiative.
In addition, guests were treated to a walkthrough of the newly renovated upstairs accommodation, restaurant, cocktail bar, and kids’ room, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to creating spaces that cater to families, visitors, and the local community.
Special Guest and Engagement
Isaac from Oyster Bay Wines introduced Collie’s first wine tasting event at the hotel, emphasising Collie’s potential as a destination of growth and personality. Attendees enjoyed guided tours, wine sampling, and hands-on engagement with the hotel’s upgraded facilities.
The evening reinforced the Club Hotel’s vision: “To be the cornerstone of Collie, a place where locals and visitors feel at home, and where genuine hospitality creates unforgettable experiences.”
